Nikon Z7 Gallery - The Photography Hobbyist

Welcome to my Nikon Z7 photo gallery (real world sample images. test pictures, etc).  After moving away from Nikon DSLRs and going to mirrorless cameras, I never quite had the same affection for those cameras as I had for my Nikon DSLR cameras.  I'm happy Nikon finally has a full frame mirrorless solution AND also happy that their first generation (Z6 & Z7) is already very well refined.  The Z7 I have is extremely well built, feels great in my hand, has wonderful image quality, the best EVF I've ever used (at time of the Z7 release, even compared to my former Sony a7R III), an excellent high resolution rear LCD touch screen, display on top to view basic settings and excellent in-body image stabilization.  I am very, VERY happy with this camera.  I am finally at peace with my camera and feel at home again.  By the way, the 24-70mm f/4 S 'kit lens' is absolutely outstanding!  It's a steal at $600 with the body.  Super sharp, fast/silent focus and gorgeous bokeh!

My Z7 full resolution test photos (including Z7 w/28-300 & 85mm f1/8 G samples) HERE.   I posted a video of my thoughts on the Z7 on YouTube as well as some of my settings

Total weight of the Nikon Z7 with battery and 24-70 f/4 S lens attached is 2 lbs, 11 oz.

Several months with the Z7 (July 2019 now), I can say I really love the Z7.  Unless you need a sports camera with the AF that goes along with a camera like that, this may be the camera for you.  Don't ever be afraid of any negative comments you read in the camera gear forums because many of those anonymous folks don't know what they're talking about, they have an agenda, they're brand lovers or they have very specific photographics needs/wants that probably don't apply to you and 95% of the rest of us.  If you want a great camera that will give you wonderful images and is a joy to hold/use, the Nikon Z6 or Z7 may be for you :-).  Thanks for visiting!
