Nikon 300mm f/4 D ED IF lens overview.  This is just a gallery of photos of the lens itself and a few quick manually focused snapshots.  There were a few versions of the Nikon 300mm f/4 and this is one of the older versions but it is indeed an AF lens (auto focus) but it needs a camera body that has the built-in focus motor, like the D90, D700, D750, D610, D800, etc.  It won't auto focus on the APS-C cheaper bodies like the D3000 and D5000 series DSLRs from Nikon.  It would be manual focus only.  Also manual focus only on the Nikon Z6 and Z7 since there's no focus motor in those mirrorless bodies.
