Welcome to my Nikon 28-300mm lens gallery. The AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR is honestly the best 'superzoom' lens I've ever used. Well, if you don't count the Olympus 12-100mm f/4 lens for the m4/3 system ;-). Anyway, the Nikon 28-300 is not cheap ($950), not lightweight (28 oz) and not small (77mm filter)...but it's a high quality lens made full frame camera bodies and it really does make some nice images. I'm very happy with this lens, especially for travel! I have a video about the 28-300 on YouTube.
I previously used this lens on a Nikon D600 body but currently (as of Dec 2018) using it on a Nikon Z7 body (45.7 MP sensor). I bought it twice...once for the D600 and now for the Z7. Yes, even on a 45.7 MP camera, the images still look great. Don't buy into the nonsense that a lens like this can't resolve enough resolution on a high MP camera to be good enough/useful. It CAN and does. :-)
